Perfection is associated with holiness. That’s why Christians should be perfectionists in their professions –specialists of the highest class. Looking for high standards is sometimes connected with the sad obligation to dismiss people. Christians who must fire people experience the tension between mercy and high requirements. Firing people causes sadness and stress but it is not a sin.
